Brewers Fayre has been a staple of British cuisine since its inception in 1979. The brand’s journey began when Vic and Jean took over their local pub, The Farmers Arms in Preston, and turned it into a profitable venture within a year. Backed by Whitbread, they opened the first dedicated Brewers Fayre restaurant in 1981. The 90s saw rapid expansion, with over 50 new locations added in just a few years, some even equipped with ball pits and playgrounds for kids. By the end of the decade, Brewers Fayre had become a household name with over 400 locations. While they’ve undergone changes over the years, including selling off standalone pubs, Brewers Fayre remains a British staple, often found attached to Premier Inn locations. Throughout their journey, they’ve maintained a dedication to classic British fare and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
