Peacefood Café has a rich history that began in 2009 when it first opened its doors to the public. Founded by two vegans named Eric and Peter, the café’s name reflects their belief in finding peace through veganism. Eric, an antique dealer, and Peter, an interior designer, shared the vision that vegan food could promote harmony and peace among people.
The first location was established in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, with a second location following in 2013 in the Union Square neighborhood. From the beginning, Peacefood Café aimed to provide a space where people could enjoy delicious vegan fare in a peaceful environment.
With a focus on vegan-friendly and gluten-free options, Peacefood Café quickly gained popularity among New Yorkers and visitors alike. The café’s commitment to quality and its belief in the power of veganism to promote well-being and harmony resonated with many.
